Disclaimers & Best Practices for Disaster Recovery for Dell

Introduction

This section highlights product and version-specific caveats that customers should be aware of when planning and operating Superna Disaster Recovery Edition for Dell PowerScale.

Disaster Recovery behavior can vary between releases — for example, supported failover types, quota handling, and readiness validations have evolved across Eyeglass versions. Always confirm the caveats and known limitations documented for your installed release in the Release Notes before planning a failover or upgrade.

Customers are responsible for validating their own environment against Superna's documented prerequisites and best practices (see the Design Guide, Configuration Guide, Failover Guide, and Readiness Guide) prior to a planned or unplanned failover event. If an issue occurs during or after a failover, see Troubleshooting.

If you need Superna assistance during a planned failover or DR testing event, review the scope of the Failover Support Observer service below.
