SupernaOne (Deprecated)

Relocated page

This page was moved out of the active Dell Cyberstorage documentation tree into the shared Deprecated reference section. Its content is unchanged from its prior location; only its location in the site has changed.

Introduction

SupernaOne is a cloud-hosted, single-pane-of-glass dashboard that lets you manage and monitor multiple Superna Eyeglass appliances from one place. It provides alert triage and summarization, plus a data protection and security summary view, across every licensed Superna application running on a connected appliance — Disaster Recovery, Ransomware Defender, Easy Auditor, Enterprise AirGap, and Performance Auditor.

Shared, appliance-level feature

SupernaOne is not specific to Disaster Recovery, Data Security, or AirGap — it is a cross-product view that sits above all of them. This page documents SupernaOne itself; for product-specific configuration, see the Disaster Recovery, Data Security, and AirGap sections.

SupernaOne is offered at no additional cost and is designed to reduce alert fatigue through:

  • Context-sensitive alarm help
  • Alarm storm suppression, with alarm counts instead of a flood of individual entries
  • Bulk alarm clearing
  • Application-specific alarm views
  • Alarm count summaries

It also rolls up key performance metrics and provides assessment scores for Eyeglass DR, Ransomware Defender, Easy Auditor, Enterprise AirGap, and Performance Auditor.

Getting Started

Connecting an Appliance to SupernaOne

Connecting an Eyeglass appliance to SupernaOne requires appliance release 2.6.0 or later.

  1. Enable SupernaOne on the appliance. SSH to the appliance and run:

igls config settings set --tag=saas_portal_enabled -value=true
  2. Grant the registration permission. Log in to the Eyeglass appliance, open the User Roles view, and grant the APP_REGISTER permission to the administrator role.

  3. Log out and log back in for the new permission to take effect.

  4. Once logged back in, the Connect to Cloud icon becomes visible. Click it to open the connection dialog, then click Connect to Cloud.

  5. A new browser tab opens, prompting you to log in to the SupernaOne portal (if not already logged in). Describe your appliance and click Register.

Registration

There are two ways to register on the platform:

  • Invitation link by email — open the invitation email (check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive) and copy the registration code into the appliance registration dialog.
  • Direct sign-in — go to https://insiders.dashboard.superna.io/ and sign in with your credentials.

Capabilities

After signing in, the dashboard shows all connected appliances, alerts, and notifications. The dashboard consists of:

  • A side menu
  • A theme toggle
  • Notifications
  • The dashboard entity
  • The capabilities entity

Dashboard Entity

On the dashboard, you can filter data according to your preferences. Click View All Alerts to open the full alerts list.

What Do the Charts Mean?

Alerts by Capabilities — shows alerts for data across all connected products. You can list all alerts at once, or filter per application card (for example, Ransomware Defender, User Behavior Auditing, or Disaster Recovery), for both Active and Cleared alerts.

Coverage Strength — click the chart to sort data by product capability. Coverage Strength shows a score for how well your environment is protected, configured, and operating in a given functional area. For example, Protection and Recovery coverage shows 10/10 (bar green) when failover readiness is 100% and the Runbook Robot function is running successfully. Click the info button on a capability to open the product overview for more detail.

Alerts

  • Use Reset All to clear filters and view all alerts.
  • Consecutive alerts of the same type stack into a single entry rather than listing each occurrence separately.
  • Click an alert code to open its Alarm Details.
  • Click a bar in the chart to filter to a single category.
  • Use the period dropdown to filter alerts by time range.

The Alerts entity has two tabs:

  • Active — shows Error/Critical and standard-severity alerts. Click the alarm code for more information on the error code (cross-reference against the Alarm Codes Reference for the underlying SCA/AG/RSW/EAU/ECA code meaning). Click the arrow to open the Alarm Details window, which shows:

    • Time since alarm — the date and time the alarm was detected
    • Event Details — details on the alarm
    • How to solve it — instructions on how to resolve the issue

Click the clear button to clear an alert.

  • Cleared — shows all cleared alerts. Cleared alerts cannot be restored.

What Alarm Data Is Sent to SupernaOne?

Only the following alarm fields are saved in SupernaOne's database: alarm code, alarm description, and alarm severity. See the Alarm Codes Reference for the full list of codes these fields correspond to.

Can Data Forwarding Be Stopped?

Yes. Open the Connect to Cloud view — once connected, the button label shows Pause. Click it to stop the appliance from forwarding alarms and metric data. Click it again at any time to resume forwarding.
