Easy Auditor Auditing Best Practices Service

Overview​

This service is designed for customers who have deployed Superna Easy Auditor and need an assessment of their IT NAS environment to define auditing best practices. The service covers Easy Auditor only.

  • Service Delivery: Remote sessions via WebEx or Zoom.
  • Operating Hours: Monday to Friday 2:00 AM - 3:00 PM EDT.
  • Terms and Conditions:
  • Exclusions:
    • Hands-on changes to external IT components, for example DNS, PowerScale, Active Directory, or other non-Superna products.
    • Security changes to any infrastructure.
    • Service delivery requires the customer to have hands-on knowledge of all external IT components.

Prerequisites​

  • Eyeglass DR Edition is installed.
  • Easy Auditor is installed and configured, or the Easy Auditor installation service has been purchased.

Service Methodology Flow​

Phase 1: Data Collection and Interview​

Customer interview (WebEx or Zoom):

  1. Identify audit requirements and objectives.
  2. Identify the security use case requirements for the customer environment, based on auditing the file system with Easy Auditor. The service is limited to three (3) use cases.

Phase 2: Design​

Deliverable: design document.

  1. A design document that outlines how to configure Easy Auditor for each objective.
  2. Per use case, instructions on how to configure and monitor the reports or alerts related to the use case.
  3. Email-based routing and syslog forwarding of alerts, reports, and triggers. For email routing guidance, see Custom Email Routing by Alarm Subject or Application.

Phase 3: Implementation and Testing​

Review the design document and apply the configuration (WebEx or Zoom):

  1. Schedule an implementation call to apply the configuration for each use case.
  2. Test each use case to verify the results and to learn how to interpret them.

Phase 4: Knowledge Transfer​

WebEx or Zoom:

  1. Review the use case test results to verify that the criteria for each use case have been met.
  2. Wrap up service delivery.
