Alarms
The Alarms dashboard provides real-time visibility into your system's health, showing critical service statuses, connection failures, and security events. This centralized interface allows administrators to efficiently monitor, manage, and clear alarms across your entire Data Security Essentials environment.
Alarm Dashboard Features
The dashboard includes several powerful tools to help you manage system alerts:
- Active/Cleared Views: Toggle between currently active alarms and previously resolved issues
- Severity Filtering: Quickly identify critical issues with color-coded severity indicators
- Advanced Filtering: Narrow results by type, host, service, description, event ID, or time reported
- Export Capabilities: Download alarm data in JSON format for analysis or reporting
Understanding Alarm Details
Each alarm entry contains comprehensive information to help you diagnose and resolve issues:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Type | Severity level (Critical, Warning, Info) with color-coding for quick visual recognition |
Host | The specific server or device reporting the alarm |
Service | The affected system component or service |
Description | Detailed explanation of the alarm condition |
Event ID | Unique identifier for tracking and reference |
Reported At | Timestamp showing when the alarm was first detected |
Managing Alarms
How to Clear an Alarm

Locate Alarm
Find the alarm in the Active alarms list -
Open Action Menu
Click the action menu (...) on the right side of the alarm entry -
Select Clear Option
Choose "Clear Alarm" from the dropdown menu -
Verify Clearance
Confirm the alarm moves to the "Cleared" tab
